Are you interested in supporting youth in civic action for the environment? \u200bCommunity Action Projects for the Environment (CAPE) is a new program that guides youth through an eight-step process to improve their community and environment. This is not your typical service-learning project where kids dig a garden or build a bird house. We are helping them think about longer-lasting solutions by affecting policy and learning about the governance process.\u200b<\/p>\n
Join us and other informal science educators at Riparian Provision Company on Monday, October 21 from 4 to 8pm to learn about this curriculum and how you can use it with youth at your institution. We\u2019ll engage in hands-on activities and send you home with the materials needed to begin.<\/p>\n
Free dinner and one beverage will be provided for all workshop participants!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n This workshop is being hosted by the University of Florida\u2019s Thompson Earth Systems Institute.
