Our goal is to make Reptile &amp; Amphibian Day as accessible as possible, so that the greatest number of event guests can take advantage of everything the event has to offer.<\/p>\n<p><a lang=\"es\" href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Accesibilidad-e-Inclusion-general-events-2023.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">*Para leer esta informaci\u00f3n en espa\u00f1ol, haga clic aqu\u00ed.*<\/a><\/p>\n<hr class=\"cleardiv\" \/>\n<h3>Venue: North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences<\/h3>\n<p>The festival will include indoor activities. Indoor activities will be located in the Nature Exploration Center (NEC) and Nature Research Center (NRC).<\/p>\n<h3>WHEELCHAIR RENTALS<\/h3>\n<p>Courtesy manual wheelchair rentals will be available at the front desks of each building.\u00a0 There is a limited supply of chairs, and a photo ID is required for reservation.<\/p>\n<h3>SIGHTED GUIDES<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>We will have trained volunteers to assist visitors (2 hours maximum). Visitors will need to preregister for sighted guides by Friday, February 2.<\/li>\n<li>Please register for a sighted guide by calling Kari Wouk at 919.707.9879 or emailing her at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/astronomy-days\/accessibility-and-inclusion\/kari.wouk@naturalsciences.org\">kari.wouk@naturalsciences.org<\/a>. Please provide your first and last name and the time period for which you will need a sighted guide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>ASL INTERPRETER<\/h3>\n<p>You may request an ASL interpreter for certain exhibits and presentations by calling calling Samantha Frigerio at 919.707.9824 or emailing her at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:samantha.frigerio@naturalsciences.org\">samantha.frigerio@naturalsciences.org<\/a>\u00a0no later than Friday, January 20.<\/p>\n<h3>ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-20474\" src=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Wheelchair-symbol.png\" alt=\"Wheelchair-symbol\" width=\"47\" height=\"54\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There are accessible restrooms located throughout the Nature Exploration Center (NEC) and the Nature Research Center (NRC).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-20475\" src=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/family-restroom-symbol.png\" alt=\"family restroom symbol\" width=\"53\" height=\"45\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Family Restrooms are available for use on the\u00a03<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0floor of the NEC.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-20476\" src=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/nursing-Room-Symbol.jpg\" alt=\"Nursing Room Symbol\" width=\"49\" height=\"60\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a nursing room located on the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0floor of the NEC, behind the Coastal Hall. Please ask the information desk for a key to unlock this room prior to use.<\/p>\n<h3>QUIET ROOM<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-20480\" src=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Quiet-Room-Symbol.gif\" alt=\"Quiet Room Symbol\" width=\"58\" height=\"57\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There will be a quiet room available on the 2nd floor of the NEC, located in the Brimley Hall.
