Please double-check to make sure that child(ren) are signed up for the appropriate grade level. We cannot make exceptions. Falsified registrations will be cancelled and the registration fee will be refunded minus the 13% processing fee.<\/p>\n<p>Following Wake County kindergarten eligibility requirements, campers must be five years old on or by August 31, 2026, to be eligible for kindergarten camps. A copy of the birth certificate or its equivalent may be requested upon registration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Accessibility and inclusion:<\/h4>\n<p>A: The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences (NCMNS) welcomes all campers and strives to provide an equal experience to any child registered for our camps.\u00a0If your child can benefit from any modification and\/or support in order to fully enjoy their time at camp, please contact <a href=\"mailto:summercamps@naturalsciences.org\">summercamps@naturalsciences.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Camper conduct:<\/h4>\n<p>A: If a camper&#8217;s conduct poses physical harm or risk to self or others we may ask to meet with guardians or other caretakers to develop and implement strategies to help with success. After a reasonable amount of time and effort has been made, in the absence of improvement, the individual may be asked to forego the summer camp experience until alternative behaviors are learned.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Camp ratio:<\/h4>\n<p>A: 16 campers per camp. Each session is led by a minimum of an instructor and assistant; other staff may join a session for specific activities or programs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"covid19VaccineRequirements\" class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: When does registration begin?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: 2026 Summer Camps registration dates are as follows:<\/p>\n<div class=\"table-responsive\">\n<table id=\"reg-table\" class=\"table table-condensed\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td class=\"col-md-3\">February 4-6:<\/td>\n<td class=\"col-md-9\">Registration opens at 10:00am for Friends of the Museum <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.ticketapp.org\/portal\/pages\/brimley_society\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brimley<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.ticketapp.org\/portal\/product\/42\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Explorers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.ticketapp.org\/portal\/product\/41\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Naturalist\u00a0 Society<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.ticketapp.org\/portal\/product\/40\">Curator<\/a> levels members. The registration link will be emailed the evening before your priority registration date. Registration temporary closes at 5:00pm on February 6 and reopens at 10:00am on February 11.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>February 11:<\/td>\n<td>Registration opens to the public, including <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.ticketapp.org\/portal\/product\/39\">Family<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.ticketapp.org\/portal\/product\/38\">Individual Plus<\/a> level members, at 10:00am. A link to register will be added to the Summer Camps website.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--\n<strong>Registration for Friends of the Museum begins on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 9:00am<\/strong>. Friends will receive a special email with the\u00a0registration link on January 28. February 1-14 registration will be open only to Friends of the Museum members with a family membership or higher. If non-members register during this time, their registration will be canceled and the registration will be returned minus a $30.00 processing fee.\nRegistration for Friends of the Museum<\/em> begins on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 9:00am. Friends will receive a special email which they can register through. February 3-16 registration will be open only to <em>Friends of the Museum<\/em> members. If non-members register during this time, their registration will be canceled and the registration will be returned minus a $30.00 processing fee.\nPublic Registration begins on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 9:00am. This registration is open to everyone. A link to register will be added to the Summer Camp website.\n<strong>Public Registration begins on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 9:00am<\/strong>. This registration is open to everyone. A link to register online will be added to the Summer Camps website.\n--><\/p>\n<p>Registration is completed with our online system, <em>Amilia<\/em>. Registration is first come, first served. Camps traditionally fill quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Each child can enroll in <strong>up to 2 weeks of day camp<\/strong>. The Museum will cancel any excess registration. <strong>A 13% processing fee per refund is required if the Museum cancels excess registration.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4><strong>Q: Why is there a processing fee?:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A: Due to our online registration system,\u00a0<em>Amilia<\/em>, there are costs involved in which we cannot offer a full refund. All cancellations including After Camp Care, registration for more than two camps per child, or incorrect grade level registrations incur a 13% processing fee per camp.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: What information will I need to register?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Please have the following ready:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Registration must be completed by a legal guardian. A guardian may reference the membership number of the grandparent&#8217;s Family level (or higher) membership.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/summer-camps-list\/\">2026 Summer Camps<\/a>\u00a0camp title and date of camp.<\/li>\n<li>Each child can enroll in <strong>up to 2 weeks<\/strong> of camp. The Museum will cancel any excess registration. <strong>A 13% processing fee per refund is required if the Museum cancels excess registration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Friends of the Museum membership number or phone number if you are a Friends member with a Family membership or higher.<\/li>\n<li>The email address in which you would like to receive camp information.<\/li>\n<li>Child\u2019s medical information.<\/li>\n<li>Street address, phone number and email address for guardian(s).<\/li>\n<li>Contact information for emergency contact and individuals who are authorized to pick-up the camper in case the guardian(s) is not available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\"><strong>Q: When will my payment be due and what forms of payment do we accept?:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<p>A: To complete registration, payment is either due in full or you can choose our 2-installment payment plan. Our online registration system will accept MasterCard, VISA, or Discover Card.<\/p>\n<p>If you choose the payment plan, 50% of the total cost of camp will be due at registration. The second payment will be due April 1st and will be automatically withdrawn using the same credit card.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Is there a wait list for camps that have filled? How do I add my child&#8217;s name to the waiting list?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Camps traditionally fill quickly. If a camp you are interested in is full, we encourage you to register for the camp&#8217;s waitlist, completed though our online registration system, Amilia. Payment will not be required.<\/p>\n<p>When a spot becomes available in a camp, families will be emailed in sequential order from the wait list. We will hold the spot for 48 hours. The spot may be accepted or turned down. Open registration spots maybe accepted by making the payment through the link on the notification email.<\/p>\n<p><em>After the refund deadline of<\/em>\u00a0<em>May 1<\/em>, all families on the camp&#8217;s wait list will be notified by email about the available spot. Registration for the open spot will become first available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: When will I receive confirmation?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Your confirmation and receipt will be emailed to you upon completion of the online registration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Will I receive any additional information after completing registration?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Yes. Additional information about the summer camp, arrival, departure and forms that may require your signature can be found in your Amilia account and will be included in the guardian packet emailed in June. <strong>Supplemental forms(s) will be due 2 weeks before the beginning of the camp<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Can I receive a copy of the two forms that were listed and agreed to during the registration process?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Yes, you can download them here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Summer Camp Rules and Behavior Expectations<\/li>\n<li>Summer Camp Nut-free Guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Camp location:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Directions to the <a href=\"http:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/visit\/directions-parking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">North Carolina Museum of Natural Science <\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Arrival and departures:<\/h4>\n<p>A: For the safety of all campers, if you would like to discuss a topic with <a href=\"mailto:summercamps@naturalsciences.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laura Dameron<\/a>, Manager of Summer Camps, please make arrangements to chat outside of\u00a0 drop-off and pick-up times.<\/p>\n<p>For safety, we ask you do not get out of your car in the Loading Area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Camps at NC Museum of Natural Sciences<\/strong> &#8211; campers should be dropped off or picked up at the Nature Research Center (NRC) Brick Alley Way behind the NRC between the Green Square Parking Deck and the Education Building. <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/calendar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2024-Drop-off-and-Pick-Up-Information-@-NC-Museum-of-Natural-Sciences.pdf\">A map<\/a> can be found in your Active Network account and will be emailed to you before the beginning of camp.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>Staff members will be waiting at the Loading Area during the following times: <strong>8:45\u20139:00am<\/strong> and <strong>4:00\u20134:15pm<\/strong>. If you arrive late to drop-off, contact 919.418.7602 for the Manager of Summer Camps. Guardians are responsible for accompanying their child(ren) to their classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you would like to park and walk your child to drop-off\/pick-up, know that finding parking can be difficult. Jones Street ($2.00\/hour) is one block east of the Bicentennial Plaza. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Green+Square+Parking+Deck\/@35.7814098,-78.643527,853m\/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x89ac5f6eeb362ecd:0xc32bbe55609eb9b8!8m2!3d35.7814055!4d-78.6413383\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Green Square Parking Deck<\/a>, 120 W. Edenton Street, is at the corner of Edenton and McDowell Streets, behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/visit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nature Research Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>***Note &#8211; You will be emailed a Pick-Up Pass for your dashboard. Campers will be release to their guardian or previously authorized individual with accompanying photo ID. If you do not see camp staff waiting at the curb, please circle the block or traffic circle to keep traffic flowing smoothly. You may receive a ticket from Capital Police if you remain in areas not designated for parking.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: After Camp Care:<\/h4>\n<p>A: After Camp Care will be offered from <strong>4:00pm-5:00pm<\/strong> Monday \u2013 Friday, for $75.00, with limited spots available. Prior registration is required. Campers will play games, make crafts and will need to bring a 2nd snack. Guardians or previously authorized individuals can pick up their camper at the NRC Brick Alley Way.\u00a0 A map can be found in your Amilia account and will be emailed to you before the beginning of camp. A 13% processing fee per refund is required.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Early departures:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Early departures must be scheduled prior to the pickup date. Contact Summer Camp Administration Team at 919.418.7602 or 919.707.9910. Early pick-up <strong>ends at 2:45pm<\/strong>. Guardians or authorized persons will meet at a prearranged meeting place, such as the classroom or another location on the grounds. Please have your photo ID available to show staff.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Late fees:<\/h4>\n<p>A: NCMNS employs the very best staff possible in our programs. After camp hours, staff have other personal and professional obligations. In order to accommodate any overtime that occur for late pick-up, a <strong>late fee of $35.00 per hour<\/strong> will be implemented if you are more than 10 minutes late picking up your child. The late fee must be paid in full before the beginning of the next day of camp for your child to attend.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Will camps leave their classrooms?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Yes. All camps will periodically explore indoor and outdoor areas outside of their classroom. Museum staff will accompany each camp to assist in crossing busy streets or provide extra support. Camps located in downtown Raleigh may go outdoors to play games on Halifax Lawn or walk around the Capital grounds.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Lunch and snack:<\/h4>\n<p>A: Campers will need to bring a bag lunch and small snack daily labeled with their name. If your child is in After Camp Care, please bring a bag lunch and 2 snacks. Campers will not have access to a refrigerator, microwave or have time to purchase lunch from a caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row faq-row\">\n<h4>Q: Why are NCMNS Summer Camps nut-free?:<\/h4>\n<p>A: In 2010, in response to the growing number of severe nut allergies, and for the safety of all campers who attend our camps, the Summer Camps program at NCMNS request guardians not to send food containing nuts, including tree nuts.
