Photo courtesy of Jackie Smith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>By Nichole Heller, Duplin Times Editor<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>BEULAVILLE \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/learn\/learning-resources\/shad-in-the-classroom\"><strong>Shad in the Classroom<\/strong><\/a> project partners with the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, NC Wildlife Resources Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to embark on an adventure in conservation science with students.<\/p>\n<p>Classrooms gather to construct a tank and raise juvenile fish known as fry with biologists from fisheries.
