The Museum offers opportunities for middle- and high-school students to dive deeper into a variety of science topics. Through hands-on program experiences, volunteers can connect what they\u2019re learning in school to careers, current research and real challenges facing our world today. Several programs are now accepting applications.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/learn\/junior-curators\">Junior Curators<\/a> are volunteers with an intense interest in conservation, animal care and field biology. Junior Curators directly support the Museum\u2019s conservation efforts by participating in educational programs and events, field experiences in natural areas, natural history service projects and assisting in the care of the Museum\u2019s live animal collection. This is a school year-based program. Application deadline March 9.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/learn\/junior-interpreters\">Junior Interpreters<\/a> are teens who are passionate about sharing the wonders of science and the natural world with others. Junior Interpreters interact directly with the public out on the Museum floor and provide positive, educational experiences for visitors using natural history specimens from the Museum\u2019s collections. This is a 10-week summer program. Application deadline March 23.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/learn\/climate-resilience-camp\">Climate Resilience Camp<\/a> is a week-long summer STEM enrichment program for high school students. The week is focused on exploring impacts of natural disasters and extreme weather and investigating strategies for increasing resilience in their communities. This is a one-week program. Application deadline April 8.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/naturalsciences.org\/learn\/cafe-coordinators\">Caf\u00e9 Coordinators<\/a> are the planners and hosts of the Museum\u2019s Teen Science Caf\u00e9s \u2014 monthly presentations featuring cutting-edge science research and careers in STEM. Teen Science Caf\u00e9s are free Museum programs for teens, hosted by teens, and the Caf\u00e9 Coordinators are responsible for making them happen. This is a school year-based program.
