Legend has it that one year ago, a group of young artists participated in a Viper Drawing Contest. But before a winner would be found, a great pandemic caused the contest to be cancelled. Those works were kept hidden away for safekeeping at the Museum… until now! A year later, these works of art will be exhibited in a virtual gallery where everyone will be able to see the great talent that exists in our community.

The drawings will be divided into three categories based on artist age, and winners of each category will be announced on Friday, March 12, during the 2021 Virtual Reptile and Amphibian Days event.

UPDATE: The winners of the Viper Contest are:

Category A (8 years and under): “Cottonmouth” by Josiah

Category B (9-13): “Copperhead Snake” by Sohee

Category C (14-18): “Viper Vibing” by Mae

Congratulations and thank you to everyone who submitted an entry. They were all masterpieces.
