SUMMARY:Lunchtime Discovery: The Adaptable Human: Human Anatomy in the Extremes
DESCRIPTION:Join us in-person in the SECU Daily Planet Theater or watch the livestream on YouTube. \nFollowing the journey of Homo sapiens\, Dr. Kelly will explore how climate influenced human evolution and migration out of Africa into diverse environments\, and how these evolutionary pressures shaped human anatomy\, from skeletal structure to physiological adaptations. \nDr. Alexa Kelly\, Assistant Professor of Anatomy\, Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine \n\nThroughout the month of March\, the Lunchtime Discovery Series will recognize Women’s History Month and women’s contributions to science and conservation. These live virtual presentations will be held each Wednesday from noon to 1:00 p.m. and are hosted by the NC Museum of Natural Sciences Coordinator of Current Science Programs Chris Smith.
