SUMMARY:Mini Music and Movement
DESCRIPTION:Come out to Prairie Ridge and get moving and grooving with us out in nature! Designed for early childhood audiences (ages 7 and under)\, this program will feature live music\, build-your-own instruments\, and guided movement activities. \nThis is a free\, drop-in program beginning at 10:00am in the Nature PlaySpace and the nearby picnic tables. Be sure to wear appropriate clothes for the weather and bring a water bottle. Trails to the PlaySpace are mulch\, dirt or grass and small hills are included — trail strollers or baby carriers are recommended for our smallest visitors. DESCRIPTION:Every summer the NCMNS paleontology crew goes into the field to search for new fossil specimens and continue digging up previous discoveries. Join us in the SECU Daily Planet Theater in person\, or online\, for a live video call from a dinosaur quarry! Paleontologists from NCMNS will be live from their fossil quarries across the American West searching for clues to ancient life from millions of years ago from Nebraska to Utah. \nJoin us in-person in the SECU Daily Planet Theater or watch the livestream on YouTube Live. \nOur live calls (every week this summer!) will give you the chance to join the expedition. DESCRIPTION:Follow the journey of a lonely lion cub as he grows into a legendary leader when “Mufasa: The Lion King” pounces onto the Museum lawn July 25. Come out to this free event at 7:30pm to learn about amazing animals who prowl at night in our own corner of the world-including pack animals and even a secretive\, wild cat. The movie will begin at 8pm. “Mufasa” is rated PG and runs 118 minutes. This event is made possible with support from the Columbus County Arts Council and is sponsored by the International Paper Foundation. \nPlease note: This is a family-friendly event—no pets\, no coolers\, and no alcohol or smoking permitted. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
