Join us as we explore the amazing animals that call the shore home! Designed for early childhood audiences (ages 7 and under)\, this program will provide opportunities for hands-on activities and learning opportunities focusing on marine and coastal habitats. \nThis is a free program beginning at 10am at the picnic tables right outside of the Nature PlaySpace. SUMMARY:Summer Story Time at the Museum
DESCRIPTION:Join us for story time this summer at the museum! We will read a story and learn about the natural world together. We might even have a live animal ambassador join us after the story! \nThis is a free program beginning at 10:30am in the Windows on the World classroom\, located on the 3rd floor of the Nature Exploration Center in downtown Raleigh. Everyone is welcome at story time\, but it is designed especially for kids 7 and younger. Story time books are chosen with this age group in mind. Please note that we do not guarantee the opportunity to touch live animals during this program.

DESCRIPTION:Journey back to the ’80s and down to the ground when we show “Honey\, I Shrunk the Kids!” This 1989 Disney comedy about an inventor dad and his adventuring family is rated PG and runs 86 minutes. Come out before the movie begins to set up your seat and learn about amazing insects. Due to current weather conditions\, this event will be held indoors. This is a family-friendly event: no pets\, no coolers\, and no alcohol or smoking permitted. Refreshments are available for purchase.
