DESCRIPTION:Join us as we explore art outdoors\, mixing natural materials with traditional art disciplines\, testing new nature-based art techniques\, and using inspiration from nature to create artistic masterpieces. \nEach day will feature a different outdoor art activity – today’s activity is designing nature crowns! Join us as we use natural materials to make a crown you can wear as you explore the outdoors. \nThis drop-in program is designed for kids ages 7 and under and occurs outdoors from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at the picnic tables below the Nature PlaySpace. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Come dressed for the weather and prepared to get messy!

This clawed crustacean is formidable and feisty with a tough exoskeleton to help it survive. Many crustaceans incorporate minerals like lime into their exoskeleton\, which thickens and strengthens it. \nThis walk-up program is offered: \n\nTuesday and Saturday — 1:30pm\n\nLocation: Nature Exploration Center\, 4th floor\, Arthropod Zoo. \nNo registration required.
