SUMMARY:NC Native Plant Garden Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join the State Library of NC and NC Museum of Natural Sciences for a unique educational experience as we explore the beauty of native North Carolina plants. This guided walking tour will take you through the native plant gardens at the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Building and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences\, highlighting the diverse flora that thrives in our state. \nParticipants will take home a seed packet from SLNC’s Native Seed Library\, a free seed exchange focused on promoting gardening with plants native to North Carolina. \n\nRECOMMENDED AUDIENCE \nAll ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by adults. \n\nREGISTRATION \n Registration is required\, so register in advance to secure your spot. This event is free and open to the public. \n\nLOCATION \nMeet at the front of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Building at 109 East Jones Street\, Raleigh\, NC. The tour stops will include the gardens in front of DNCR Building and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences Nature Exploration Center.

DESCRIPTION:Every summer the NCMNS paleontology crew goes into the field to search for new fossil specimens and continue digging up previous discoveries. Join us in the SECU Daily Planet Theater in person\, or online\, for a live video call from a dinosaur quarry! Paleontologists from NCMNS will be live from their fossil quarries across the American West searching for clues to ancient life from millions of years ago from Nebraska to Utah. \nJoin us in-person in the SECU Daily Planet Theater or watch the livestream on YouTube Live. \nOur live calls (every week this summer!) will give you the chance to join the expedition.
