SUMMARY:Educator Trek: Land of the Longleaf
DESCRIPTION:Longleaf pine savanna by Mike Dunn \nJoin educators from the NC Museum of Natural Sciences and the NC Museum of History for a cross-curricular workshop to learn about the natural and cultural history of North Carolina’s coastal plain. Explore the longleaf pine ecosystem\, one of our most biologically diverse habitats and an important early economic driver for our state. And learn about a range of topics from harvesting pitch to carnivorous pitcher plants. \nCredit: 20 contact hours toward CEUs or Criteria II/III for North Carolina’s Environmental Education Certification Program \nLodging: The full workshop fee covers a two-night stay near Wilmington\, NC in hotel style rooms\, double occupancy. \nTransportation: Participants can ride with the group from Raleigh departing at 2pm or meet us at our lodging near Wilmington\, NC. Transportation will be in the Museum bus. \nThis workshop is full.
