SUMMARY:Amazing Amphibians
DESCRIPTION:Did you know that Prairie Ridge is home to many species of frogs and salamanders? Join us as we learn about some of the amphibians that call Prairie Ridge home! This program will include various activities by our pond as we explore amphibians through art\, building\, live critters\, and more. \nThis is a free drop-in program beginning at 10:00am. Please meet at the pond platforms (follow the Prairie Trail over the ridge until you see the Bird Blind and pond at the bottom of the ridge). Come dressed for the weather and prepared for potential messiness! This program is designed for early childhood audiences (ages 7 and under). \nFor more information\, contact Kiersten Bowser at kiersten.bowser@naturalsciences.org

SUMMARY:Science Detectives: Electronics for Beginners
DESCRIPTION:Science Detectives: Electronics for Beginners \nJoin us for classes designed especially for homeschool and track-out students. These classes allow us to delve deeper into topics and incorporate additional learning experiences. \nThe prevalence of cheap\, easy to attain technologies (such as Arduino) has resulted in a DIY electronics renaissance. These hands-on problem solving activities teach the basics of electricity and computer programming in a way that is both challenging and fun. The next great inventor could be you! \nParticipants must be 11 years of age or older for this program. This is a drop-off program\, but adults must stay in the Museum during the program time. \nREGISTER NOW!\nRegistration ends 48 hours prior to program start time. \nFor more information contact Missy Chernick.
