SUMMARY:Lifelong Adventure: Winter Birds
DESCRIPTION:Lake Mattamuskeet and Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuges host one of the largest concentrations of winter waterfowl along the East Coast. Learn how to identify waterfowl\, raptors and other bird species. Short hikes and easy viewing from the Museum bus make this an ideal trip for both novice and seasoned birders. Birders flock from all over to see the winter waterfowl spectacle in these coastal refuges. We will hike in a remnant virgin forest in Pettigrew State Park and visit historic Somerset Place on the edge of Phelps Lake. \nPlease note: You will be required to enter the following information for each registrant before you can complete your registration: emergency contact\, physician contact and health information (allergies\, conditions\, medications relevant to this field experience). Take a moment to gather this information before beginning your registration. \nRegistration Instructions: Double occupancy pricing applies to one participant. If you wish to register and pay for both occupants\, enter quantity of 2.
