DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a butterfly walk! We will talk about butterfly behavior and learn how to identify different species\, and then take a walk on the prairie to look for butterflies. \nThis program is for ages 10 and up\, families welcome. Please dress for the weather\, wear closed-toed shoes\, and bring water. We will meet at the green entrance gate near the kiosk. No registration required.

SUMMARY:Kids' Outdoor Clothing & Gear Swap
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Kids’ Outdoor Clothing/Gear Swap! New and lightly used children’s outdoor clothes\, shoes\, inclement-weather gear\, baby carriers\, and more will be available – free – for you to take home. Interested in donating items to the swap? Bring them day-of or look for donation bins at the Prairie Ridge entrance kiosk and the Nature PlaySpace shed beginning August 27\, 2024 during Prairie Ridge’s open hours. \nIn addition\, we’ll also be collecting travel-size toiletries to be donated to Oak City Cares. \nThe clothing swap will take place at the picnic table area adjacent to the Nature PlaySpace. When you’re done with your swapping needs\, head to the Nature PlaySpace where we’ll also be having a Nature Play Day\, with special sensory play opportunities! Please make sure your children are with you as move between the areas. \nThis is a free drop-in program beginning at 10:00am. While our Nature PlaySpace is designed for kids ages 7 and under\, all are welcome.
