SUMMARY:Field Experience Fridays - Growing Naturalists
DESCRIPTION:Do you have a middle school student who is curious and questioning about the natural world? Register below to have them join us for a day of exploration as we develop the skills of a naturalist! From magnifying glasses to binoculars\, we’ll explore some of the basic tools that naturalists and scientists use to study and learn more about the natural world\, honing our observation skills as we investigate Prairie Ridge’s ecosystems. \nThis is a one-day drop off program at Prairie Ridge Ecostation intended for students entering grades 6–8 this fall (2024)\, and runs from 8:30am to 2:00pm on Friday\, August 16. Participants should expect to be entirely outdoors\, bring a packed snack and lunch\, and be ready to have fun outside! \nThis program requires registration and costs $35 for Friends of the Museum Members and $40 for non-members.
