DESCRIPTION:This free adult program requires preregistration. \nBumblebees are thought of as the fuzzy\, friendly members of the bee family\, but they have other special characteristics that make them excellent pollinators!  Join us for a program on bumblebees — you’ll learn how to identify the most common ones\, and see how you can contribute to Citizen Science just by watching them. \nThis program is for adults 18+. Please dress for the weather — hat\, sunscreen and closed-toed shoes recommended. Please bring a filled water bottle. We will meet in the Outdoor Classroom\, which is a 2-minute walk down the gravel path from the Prairie Ridge parking lot. \nRegister here!

In this program\, we’ll explore the basics of butterfly identification\, participate in a citizen science project\, and discover some of the weird and amazing things butterflies do on our planet! \nThis in-person program for adults requires pre-registration. \nRegister here\nCome dressed for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes.  This program will be conducted entirely outdoors.  Meet your leader at the Outdoor Classroom\, a short 3-5 minute walk down the gravel road from the parking lot.  Bring a filled water bottle and be prepared to spend part of our time together in the sun.
