SUMMARY:Prairie Ridge Biodiversity Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a biodiversity tournament! You’ll have two hours to find and photograph as many species as possible at Prairie Ridge and upload them to iNaturalist. All participants will have a chance to win prizes for the most species photographed overall and the most species in select categories in two age categories (adults and kids). Your photos will automatically count toward the City Nature Challenge\, an annual international bioblitz of urban areas that we take part in every year! \nAll photographs must be taken at Prairie Ridge and submitted to iNaturalist during the program to count toward your total observations.  Please download the iNaturalist app (free) and create a login before you come!  Children under the age of 13 must submit through an adult’s iNaturalist account.  Dress for the weather\, wear closed-toed shoes\, and bring a refillable water bottle. \nPlease check in at the Outdoor Classroom\, a short walk down the gravel road\, prior to the program to get started! \nNew to iNaturalist?  Join our Intro to iNaturalist program immediately before the tournament — we’ll walk you through how to use the smartphone app!
