SUMMARY:Lifelong Adventure: Alligator River/Outer Banks
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our weekend exploration of Alligator River and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuges in eastern North Carolina.  We will ride through the refuges on the museum bus with frequent stops to look for birds and other wildlife.  Some stops will include short to moderate walks along trails.  Black bears are commonly spotted in this area.  We have a chance to see the critically endangered Red Wolf and learn about efforts to save this species from extinction.  We will also explore the maritime forest of Nags Head Woods and the huge sand dune of Jockey’s Ridge State Park\, along with other natural areas as time permits. \nPlease note: You will be required to enter the following information for each registrant before you can complete your registration: emergency contact\, physician contact and health information (allergies\, conditions\, medications relevant to this field experience).
