DESCRIPTION:Vultures\, snakes\, spiders…folklore and culture can make them scary\, but do we really need to fear them? In this program we’ll tour Prairie Ridge looking for some of these “monsters\,” talk about the history and culture\, and then talk about the benefits of having these animals in our environment! \nThis program is for ages 18 and up. Please dress for the weather\, wear closed-toed shoes\, and bring water. We will meet at the entrance kiosk by the green entrance gatse. No preregistration necessary.

DESCRIPTION:Ever look back on Halloween parties you attended as a kid\, and wish you could do that again? Here’s your chance! Join us for an evening of spooky trivia\, fun snacks\, and creepy crafts! We will also have a costume contest and end the evening with a nighttime walk to look for spiders! \nThis is an adult program and requires registration. Register here. Tickets cost $12 for Museum members and $15 for non-members. \nThis program will be held in the Outdoor Classroom at Prairie Ridge Ecostation\, and we will be walking in the woods in the dark\, so please plan your costumes for the weather and wear appropriate footwear. Snacks\, warm drinks\, craft materials and flashlights will be provided. The Outdoor Classroom can be located by walking through the green gates and continuing down the gravel path.
