SUMMARY:Pond Prowl (Ages 8 and up)
DESCRIPTION:Turtles and pond weeds and frogs\, oh my! Ever wonder what lives in the pond at Prairie Ridge?  Join us and learn about the amphibians\, birds\, and other creatures that live in and around water! \nThis program is for ages 8 and up\, families welcome. Please dress for the weather and prepare to get a bit (or a lot) muddy and wet. All exploration supplies will be provided. We will meet at the pond platforms. \nFrom the parking lot\, walk through the green entrance gates and onto the gravel path. Right after passing the gate\, look to your right and you’ll see two grassy paths that lead through the prairie on top of the hill. Take either of these paths across the hill\, where you’ll end up in front of a painted building. This is the bird blind\, and just beyond the bird blind is the pond! Walk past the bird blind and look to your right where you should see 5 wooden platforms along the edge of the pond. This is where the program will begin.
