DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Summer Scavenger Hunt! Meet at the Outdoor Classroom\, where you’ll receive a list of items to find around the site. Then\, you can explore independently to find the items on the list! You will need to take photos of your items\, so please bring a phone\, camera\, iPad\, etc! \nThis program is for ages 8 and up\, families welcome. Please dress for the weather and be ready to do a little hiking. Hat\, sunscreen and close-toed shoes recommended.  We will meet in the outdoor classroom\, which is down the gravel path from the entrance gate.

DESCRIPTION:Join a North Carolina Certified Beekeeper to explore the life of bees – where they live\, what they eat\, and how they behave. We’ll talk about ways you can encourage bees to visit your yard and garden\, and how to observe them safely. Bring your bee questions and we’ll try to answer them! \nThis program is for ages 10 and up. We will meet in the classroom building\, just a short walk down the gravel path\, and then go out into the garden and prairie to look for bees. Water\, hat and sunscreen are recommended. Please wear close-toed shoes and dress for the weather. It will “bee” amazing!
