DESCRIPTION:One Event to Rule Them All\n \nSocial in the Shire | Activities | Food & Drink \nGather up your Fellowship\, it’s time for an Adult Night — our very own Social in the Shire! The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences becomes Middle Earth on February 24. Lay siege to Gondor\, dance with dragons and show off your Tolkien trivia at this exclusive\, 21+ event. \nEnjoy a unique opportunity to experience the Museum at night while exploring the uncensored side of science. The event features interactive science stations\, music\, games\, local entertainment and special activities. Beer\, wine\, themed cocktails and food will be available for purchase. Costumes encouraged (but not required). \nSocial in the Shire general admission is sold out! Don’t miss out on the fun: There are a limited number of Catalyst Member tickets still available. See below! \nSTEP 1: BECOME A CATALYST MEMBER! \nDesigned for ages 21+\, this membership level is a catalyst for those looking to connect with like-minded people who make a difference at the Museum and in the community. \nBecome a Catalyst member and the first round of drinks is on us! You and a “plus one” will receive two free drink tickets at each Adult Night\, a complimentary pair of tickets to one Adult Night of your choice\, access to sold-out Adult Night events\, and more! \nSTEP 2: BUY CATALYST TICKETS! \nCOSTUME AND MASK POLICY \nFor the safety of all visitors\, we ask that guests wearing masks or items that obscure their face remove those items during the check-in process. After checking in\, guests are welcome to wear those items in the event. Costumes should not contain any elements that resemble\, or could easily be mistaken for\, an actual weapon. The Museum reserves the right to turn away any guest with a costume that we deem offensive or unsafe.
