DESCRIPTION:Have young children interested in digging through the dirt and watching plants grow? This is the program for you! Intended for early childhood audiences (ages 7 and below)\, this program is designed to engage children with different hands-on\, interactive approaches to gardening and nature exploration. We’ll break out the gardening tools\, have some fun with seeds\, and take a closer look at the invertebrate friends we often find while digging in soil. \nCost: $5\, $3 for Members. Please note that all participants will receive seeds and plants to take home! Plus\, visit our newest special exhibition\, “Life Before Dinosaurs: The Permian Monsters.” \nActivities to enjoy this night include: \n\nVisiting the Living Conservatory.\nWatching a snake feeding at 6:00pm and 7:00pm.\nTaking a behind-the-scenes tour of the Salt Marsh at 5:45pm\, 6:05pm\, 6:25pm\, 6:45pm\, 7:05pm\, or 7:25pm (limit 5 people per tour).\nVisiting the Discovery Room.\nEnjoying a Live Science Show in the Windows on the World at 6:00pm\, 6:30pm\, 7:00pm\, and 7:30pm.\nJoining us at 7:00pm in the WRAL Theater for a livestream from a dinosaur dig at Crystal Geyser Quarry\, Utah.\n\nMembers will meet staff working in areas all over the Museum! Talk with our education staff and meet people you don’t often find on the Museum floor. Come learn about our work in areas such as: \n\nCitizen Science\nMammalogy\nPaleontology\nGeology\nIchthyology (fishes)\nGenomics\nMalacology (mollusks) and more!\n\nMembers will have an exclusive first look at the extended cut of Dinosaurs of Antarctica 3D at 6pm.
