SUMMARY:Black Birders of North Carolina Story Trail
DESCRIPTION:Follow the trail of local Black birders to learn about some amazing local leaders in the birding and environmental worlds. From a local environmental educator to PhD students researching the ins and outs of specific bird species\, these individuals are working to learn more about and work to support both our local birds and the human communities in our state. This storywalk is in recognition of Black Birders Week\, celebrated May 29 through June 4\, 2022\, a national endeavor to celebrate and recognize Black birders. \nStart the trail at the beginning of the Forest Trail\, just past the entrance on your left.
