SUMMARY:City Nature Challenge 2022: Triangle Area
DESCRIPTION:Want to help show the rest of the world just how amazing North Carolina’s citizen scientists are? Join the NC Museum of Natural Sciences for the City Nature Challenge! This event celebrates the biodiversity that can be found anywhere – even in your own home\, backyard\, or neighborhood!  Over 300 cities are participating in 2020 and will provide an amazing snapshot of our world’s biodiversity over a four day period. \n \n\n\n\nWe need YOUR help snapping photos of Triangle Area plants\, animals\, or fungi from April 29 to May 2 and submitting them through the iNaturalist smartphone app or website by May 8. \nYou can participate in the City Nature Challenge: Triangle Area by visiting any open outdoor space in the Triangle Area from April 29 to May 2\, take photos of the plants\, animals\, and fungi you see\, and submit them to iNaturalist.  Download the iNaturalist smartphone app for Android or Apple and submit as you go or carry a camera with you and upload them through the website to join in the fun! \nFollow along with the local event or check out the map of the area that’s included at https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/city-nature-challenge-2022-triangle-area.  Socialize with other Triangle Area City Nature Challenge participants through our Facebook group.  Or learn more about the City Nature Challenge across North Carolina on the NC CNC website. \nWant to get ready for the City Nature Challenge: Triangle Area now? Create an iNaturalist account (it’s free!) through the website or the smartphone app and practice submitting your sightings so you’re ready to help us win. Over the last four decades he has played a lot of blues\, beach music\, and singer/songwriter material as well as playing in the pit orchestra for community theater productions.
