SUMMARY:Nature Fun for the Very Young - Toad Day!
DESCRIPTION:Hop on down to Prairie Ridge Ecostation to learn about some of our favorite amphibians! After an interactive story time down by the pond\, take a short hike with us to uncover some toad-ally awesome ID cards of your discoveries on our way up to the outdoor classroom. We will meet some live animals before decorating your very own toad abode to take home! \nThis program is recommended for children ages 2 years to 6 years and their adults.  Cost for program is per child (adults are free). \nPlease plan on wearing clothes that can get muddy! \n  \nDiversión en la naturaleza para los más jóvenes – ¡Día del Sapo!\n¡Ven a la ecoestación Prairie Ridge para aprender sobre algunos de nuestros anfibios favoritos! Tras un cuentacuentos interactivo junto al estanque\, realizaremos una caminata corta en dirección al Aula al aire libre. A lo largo del camino podrás descubrir algunas tarjetas identificativas sobre varios animalesmales. Ya en el aula al aire libre… ¡Conoceremos a algunos de estos animales vivos! También podrás poner a juego tu imaginación y  decorar una “casa de sapo” para llevártela a tu casa! \nEste programa está recomendado para niños de 2 años a 6 años y sus adultos. SUMMARY:Herp Hike: Clemmons Educational State Forest
DESCRIPTION:Yellow-bellied Slider. Photo: Jeff Beane. \nJoin us for a forest hike with an eye out for reptiles and amphibians. We’ll be on easy walking trails much of the time but will also explore the edges of a lake and a small stream. Meet in main picnic area near the lake. Forest opens at 11:00 am on Sunday. Feel free to come early to eat a picnic lunch before our 1:00 pm hike. \nLength of hike: two hours with option for picnic lunch before the hike. \nMinimum age: 10 years old (all minors must be accompanied by an adult). \nInstructions: Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather\, and hiking boots or other comfortable walking shoes that you don’t mind getting wet or muddy when exploring the lake’s edge or small stream. Hat\, sunscreen\, water bottle and snacks recommended. Optional gear includes walking stick\, binoculars\, camera and a daypack. \n  \nCaminata Herpetológica: Clemmons Educational State Forest\nÚnete a nosotros para una caminata por el bosque en busca de reptiles y anfibios. Iremos por senderos fáciles de caminar la mayor parte del tiempo\, pero también exploraremos los bordes de un lago y un pequeño arroyo. Nos reuniremos en el área de picnic principal cerca del lago. Clemmons Educational State Forest abre sus puertas el domingo a las 11:00 am.
