SUMMARY:Trees of the Prairie Ridge Arboretum
DESCRIPTION:Get to know the trees in the Jesse P. Perry III Arboretum at Prairie Ridge! We will walk 1–2 miles and dive into the details of identification and learn interesting facts up to 10 trees per session. Sign up for one or all eight walks; we will stop at different trees every week. \nThis program requires pre-registration and welcomes ages 13+. \nThis program is limited to 15 people and requires pre-registration. Registration closes 24 hours before the program begins. This program welcomes everyone ages 13+ and all children must be accompanied by a registered adult throughout our time together. Masks are required for all participants whenever we cannot remain 6 feet apart. DESCRIPTION:Join NCSU undergraduate students and herpetology enthusiasts Ana Sapp (@a.sappshots) and Ben Zino (@thewildreport) for an introduction to capturing photos and videos of reptiles and amphibians! Ana is an experienced wildlife photographer and storyteller who has presented her work at a conference for the International League of Conservation Photographers\, and Ben has been producing educational science videos for his YouTube channel\, The Wild Report\, for almost six years\, with an audience of over 30\,000 subscribers. Throughout the session\, you can expect to learn what to do before\, during\, and after an encounter with a wild reptile or amphibian that will allow you to capture the moment and share your experience with the world. Come ready to connect with other wildlife enthusiasts and have fun! \nAges 13 and older.  Minors must be accompanied by an adult. \nParticipant Needs: A device that is capable of capturing photos and videos.
