DESCRIPTION:Visit Prairie Ridge for our next StoryWalk® featuring Hey\, Little Ant\, written by Phillip and Hannah Hoose and illustrated by Debbie Tilley.  Our story begins just inside our entry gates and will take you on a short trail as you learn about the lives of ants. \nBe sure to wear closed-toed shoes that can get muddy\, appropriate dress for the weather\, and bring a water bottle. Trails are mulch\, dirt or grass and small hills are included — trail strollers or baby carriers are recommended for our smallest visitors. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day (but please pack out your trash!). \nThis StoryWalk® will be available November 23–December 31 each day we are open\, weather pending.  Prairie Ridge is open 9am–4pm Tuesday–Saturday; closed on Sundays\, Mondays\, and for the holidays November 25 and 26 and December 23–27. \nPlease refer to the Plan Your Visit page for the most recent Covid guidelines for our facilities. \nIf you are experiencing symptoms of illness\, we ask that you postpone your visit. \nThis activity is FREE and no registration is required. \nThe StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier\, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.  StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

DESCRIPTION:Come out and play! The Nature PlaySpace will be stocked with extra-special materials and supplies and a Museum play facilitator will be present to help you play your way. Supplies may vary from week to week\, but include fun things like puppets and costumes\, musical instruments\, bubbles\, paint\, giant blocks and more. \nThis is a free\, informal\, drop-in event (no registration is required!) and takes place entirely outdoors. Come dressed for the weather and ready to get messy!
