DESCRIPTION:This program is in person and requires pre-registration! Please review all information before registering via the link below. \nJoin us at Prairie Ridge to learn about our environment\, the changes we are experiencing\, and how you can help! In this program ideal for kids ages 8-12\, we will discover activities you can do in your daily life to help protect our planet. Together we will create a compostable flowerpot that will reduce waste\, reuse and recycle newspaper\, and replenish our Earth with a new plant. All you need to bring is yourself and your love for our environment! \nThis program will take place at Prairie Ridge Ecostation\, 1671 Gold Star Drive\, Raleigh NC 27607. It will be conducted entirely outdoors\, so please dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toed shoes are required\, but long pants\, hats\, and sunscreen are highly recommended. You may also wish to wear bug spray. Bring water with you. \nBecause this program is child-focused\, masks are required for all participants. Thank you for helping keep our children safe! We will observe social distancing recommendations and follow all state-mandated COVID restrictions. \nAll children must be accompanied by a registered adult for the duration of the program.
