DESCRIPTION:Wasps — they have a bad reputation\, but do they deserve it? What is the benefit of keeping them around? Join us for a program exploring the many native wasps we have here at Prairie Ridge — from how to identify them to what they eat\, and where they nest. Spoiler alert: They really are our friends\, and many are quite beautiful! \nThis program is for adults 18 and up. Please dress for the weather\, bring water\, a hat and sunscreen. We will be looking in the garden for some of these insects\, so also feel free to bring a camera! \n\n“Science Within Reach” programs are specifically designed for adults who are interested in learning more about nature or contributing to different research projects\, or who want to meet other like-minded\, nature-loving adults in our community!
