Natural Playwork emphasizes play in nature and how to take advantage of the many affordances of the natural world. Participants will explore open-ended creative methods of incorporating elemental play and exploration in programs and curricula, using the approach of the playwork profession. Participants will also delve into imaginative approaches to planning for play in nature.
This free workshop is for formal and informal educators as well as any adult who spends time with children and young people in outdoor settings. This workshop is presented by Education Specialist and Manager of Playful Pedagogy Linda Kinney of the North Carolina Zoo. Space is limited.
