SUMMARY:Teen Science Café: Conservation Genetics
DESCRIPTION:This month\, we’re joined by Dr. Heather Evans\, Conservation Genetics Manager for the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. She uses applied genetics to conserve and manage populations within our state. The tools and methods she uses answer questions such as:  \nWhere do species occur?\nWhat is the genetic diversity between populations?\nWhat are their boundaries?\nIs hybridization between species occurring?  \nCome learn about the important research being done to answer these questions!    \nThis program is recommended for participants ages 11–17. Cafés will be held in person at the Daily Planet Café and streamed live on YouTube.
