  • Friday, October 05, 2018
  • 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Do you have unbreakable bones, incredible vision, or super strength? Could you be a superhero? At this Teen Science Café, Dr. Marianne Barrier from the Museum’s Genomics and Microbiology Research Lab will discuss how unique genetic traits give some individuals incredible “superhuman” abilities. See if your genetic code makes the cut and assess your own skills.

About our speaker

Dr. Marianne Barrier researches genome technologies and how genetics is involved in human health. She is a huge fan of MacGyver and enjoys improvising solutions to make things work with whatever’s available. Her current research includes studying the microbes that live on skin, cheese, and dogs!
