Meet North Carolina’s Snakes

  • Thursday, July 09, 2020
  • 11:00am - 12:00pm

It’s snake season in North Carolina! You might be wondering how to tell one snake from another, what to do if you see a snake, or how to bring more snakes to your yard. If so, this is the program for you! We’re excited to welcome Bonnie Eamick, Head of Prairie Ridge Ecostation for a fun introduction to the snakes of North Carolina. She’ll share information about our local snakes and some snake stories from her own experiences with the slithery, scaly animals of our state. You’ll also learn how kids in grade K-8 can earn prizes and badges as they help scientists learn about the natural world as ecoEXPLORErs!

This program is geared toward children in grades K-8 and their families who are are interested in citizen science, but all are welcome!
