SUMMARY:Science Detectives: Nature's Design
DESCRIPTION:Join us for classes designed especially for homeschool and track-out students. These 60-minute classes allow us to delve deeper into topics and incorporate additional learning experiences. \nDuring this class we will explore the many strategies that nature uses to build structures; from ridged scallop shells and circular owl eggs to intricate bird nests and air-conditioned termite mounds. We will learn how humans have either copied some of these design secrets or have been inspired to create our own structures like bridges\, houses and even outdoor clothing. \nParticipants must be 8-10 years old for this program. \nREGISTER NOW!\nRegistration ends 48 hours prior to program start time. \nFor more information contact Missy Chernick.
