DESCRIPTION:Science Detectives: Backyard Birds \nJoin us for classes designed especially for homeschool and track-out students. These 60-minute classes allow us to delve deeper into topics and incorporate additional learning experiences. \nYou’ve probably heard of a chickadee and a titmouse\, but how about a sapsucker or a waxwing? From the birds we see at our birdfeeders to those that are a little harder to get a glimpse of\, we’ll take a closer look at some feathered friends you may already know as well as a few you may not. What kind of adaptations do they have for surviving? How can you help them be more successful in your own back yard? \nParticipants must be 8-10 years old for this program. \nThis is a drop-off program\, but adults must stay in the Museum during the program time. \nRegistration is full for this program.\nRegistration ends 48 hours prior to program start time. \nFor more information contact Missy Chernick.
