SUMMARY:Science Detectives: Backyard Birds
DESCRIPTION:Join us for classes designed especially for homeschool and track-out students. These 60-minute classes allow us to delve deeper into topics and incorporate additional learning experiences. \nYou’ve probably heard of a chickadee and a titmouse\, but how about a sapsucker or a waxwing? From the birds we see at our birdfeeders to those that are a little harder to get a glimpse of\, we’ll take a closer look at some feathered friends you may already know as well as a few you may not. What kind of adaptations do they have for surviving? How can you help them be more successful in your own back yard? \nParticipants must be 8-10 years old for this program.
