Science Café: Crime Scene Science

Join us to learn all that happens when law officers analyze a crime scene. In this café we will move through a hypothetical crime scene investigation from start to finish. Find out what evidence police officers look for, how it is collected and what happens to it when the investigation is finished. Discover the science involved with keeping us safe.

About our speaker

Shayne Smithey is a Crime Scene Supervisor and has worked as a crime scene investigator for 17 years with the City-County Bureau of Identification (CCBI), and is well versed in all aspects of forensic science. The CCBI responds to all types of crime scenes from vehicle break-ins to homicides.
