SUMMARY:Unraveling Mysteries of the World's Largest Mammal Migration - Wake Audubon Society Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Every year\, millions of bats arrive at Zambia’s Kasanka National Park in what is thought to be the world’s largest mammal migration. This amazing phenomenon is still poorly understood. Where do they come from? Why do they like this particular forest? How many are there? How do the local predators respond to their influx? Matt Snider\, graduate student in Fisheries\, Wildlife and Conservation Biology at NC State University\, will discuss the latest research by a team of scientists trying to unravel these mysteries. \nThis is a Wake Audubon Society program.  For more information\, please contact Jeff Beane.
