With a wham! and a pow! and a zip! … our heroes just might win. \nOUR SPEAKER\nSkip Elsheimer collects and shows old films. He was so dedicated to the hobby that he bought an old boarding house to contain the collection\, which has grown to over 36\,000 films. He knows a lot about film and is a big fan of the 1960s Batman TV show.\n\n\nSCIENCE STATIONS (5:30–7PM)\nCreate Your Own Comics\nEver wanted to create your own comics or make a superhero? Holy Movie Night\, Batman — it’s time to get creative! \nGrab the Shark Repellent!\nTo honor Batman’s incredible battle with an explosive shark\, we’ll dive into learning about the non-rubber sharks that roam our shores. Dig into fossil-rich soil from North Carolina to find real shark teeth and learn why we don’t recommend spraying sharks with Batman-style repellent. \nBats and Robins\nCome experience the weight difference between 3-ounce robins and 2-pound fox bats. You’ll also get the chance to practice your echolocation skills (in case you ever need to chase down the Joker in the dark) and you’ll get to practice answering some robin-related riddles (in case the Riddler comes knocking). \nPaper Bats\nFold and flip and fly!
