SUMMARY:Lifelong Hike: Picture Creek
DESCRIPTION:We will hike through the world’s largest population of the federally endangered smooth coneflower in peak bloom during this visit to the Picture Creek nature preserve. This power-line corridor through a unique diabase geologic area gives us a good sense of what the Piedmont prairies were like in earlier times. You will see wildflowers here that you don’t see in most areas of the Piedmont. \nPlease note: You will be required to enter the following information for each registrant before you can complete your registration: emergency contact\, physician contact and health information (allergies\, conditions\, medications relevant to this field experience).
