Lifelong Adventure: Holly Shelter/Topsail Adventure

We will explore the longleaf pine savannas in Holly Shelter State Gameland in search of Venus flytraps, pitcher plants, butterworts and sundews, along with a variety of native orchids in bloom this time of year. We’ll continue to Topsail Island to explore the history and natural history of this barrier island.

Registration deadline is two weeks prior to trip start date. Trips failing to reach the minimum registration numbers by the deadline date may be canceled. Please call to check on trip status if interested in registering after the deadline.

Details

  • Fee: $60 per participant; $45 per member participant (Fee covers travel and instruction. Participants pay for meals and lodging).
  • Requirements: Minimum age 18.
  • Cancellation Notice: If the Museum cancels the program, the registrant will have the option of receiving (1) a credit toward a future Lifelong field program, or (2) a full refund*. If the registrant cancels their registration 7 days or more prior to the departure date, then a refund* (less $25 processing fee) or credit will be given. No refund or credit for reservations cancelled by the registrant less than 7 days before the departure date. *Registrants must submit a W9 form to receive a refund.
