Enjoy a weekend exploration of birds, wildflowers, wildlife, streams, geology, folklore and plants of this spectacularly beautiful area on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stream exploration, salamander hikes, wildflower walks, speakers, entertainment and late-night stargazing highlight this laid-back learning adventure based at the Wildacres Retreat Center during the spring wildflower peak in the mountains. Coordinated by Discovery Place, sessions are led by expert naturalists and educators from the region.
Trip leaves on Friday, May 1, at 10am and returns on Sunday, May 3, at 6pm.
