U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Award Writing Workshop

  • Saturday, October 05, 2019
  • 9:00am - 2:00pm

The U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon is a national award that highlights school’s sustainability practices. It is also a path to real-world projects for math, energy, water, air, and ecology. Teachers, administrators, parents, and advanced students are invited to collaborate in crafting your school’s application for the Award. We ask that all writers attend at least the first two hours of the workshop. Past awardees, Krista Brinchek (Abbots Creek Elementary) and Shannon Hardy (Exploris School) will stay as late as 2 pm in support of writers. The workshop will be held in the classroom on the 4th floor of the Nature Research Center at the Museum.

This workshop is sponsored by Rob Lamme & Associates, EDEx Collaboratory, and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.
