DESCRIPTION:Pollinators are beautiful\, fascinating\, and crucial members of Piedmont ecosystems\, and spring is a wonderful time to observe and learn from them! As global change threatens insect populations worldwide\, it is more important than ever that we monitor these important species. Come be a part of this effort\, as we learn about the pollinators that live at Prairie Ridge\, look for them around the Ecostation\, and contribute observations to The Great Sunflower Project\, a collaborative science project supporting active pollinator research\, education\, and conservation. Come dressed for the weather and ready for about a half-mile walk for this program for ages 8+. \nRegistration is required to attend this program. \nRegister
