City Nature Challenge: Biodiversity Walk

  • Saturday, April 28, 2018
  • 10:30am - 11:30am

Help us document the biodiversity of Prairie Ridge — and get lots of observations of your own for the City Nature Challenge — on this guided biodiversity walk!  We’ll explore the grounds and see how many species we can document as we take a leisurely walk.

This is a drop-in program — no need to pre-register!  Meet in the Outdoor Classroom.

Dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes.  Bring a camera (your phone or any other camera you have, or plan to borrow one from us) and a water bottle.  Come with iNaturalist pre-loaded on your phone if you are planning to use the smartphone app to make your observations.

This program is part of the City Nature Challenge: Triangle Area 2018.  The City Nature Challenge is an international competition between urban areas to see who can document the most species on iNaturalist (an online wildlife observation platform) from April 27-30, 2018.  Help the Triangle Area show off how amazing our biodiversity and citizen scientists are by photographing species you see and uploading them to iNaturalist!
