Citizen Science Adventure Day

What: Join us for the day for a chance to participate in exciting citizen science projects! We will collect data to contribute to iNaturalist, eBird, PondWatch, and GLOBE Observer.

Who: Rising 6th graders–rising 8th graders
Parents may drop students off or stay on site. Supplies and activities are for registered students only; supplies and supervision will not be provided for younger siblings. If your child has participated in Citizen Science Adventure Club please understand we will add them to the waitlist but priority will be given to first-time participants.

When: July 31, 2018 9:30am–2:30pm
In the event of weather that is too dangerous to complete our projects, we will postpone this program until August 1, 2018.

Where: Prairie Ridge Ecostation, 1671 Gold Star Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607.

Cost: $15 per student, cash or check made out to “Friends of the Museum.” The registration cost covers a clipboard to take home filled with data sheets, a field guide, a pencil, and a name tag.

Why: To gain knowledge and experience in the field of scientific research, to explore the natural world in a safe place, and to create lifelong connections to nature.
