SUMMARY:Accessible Dino Tours for Guests Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
DESCRIPTION:What lived before the dinosaurs? Have whales always lived in the water? What makes our Acrocanthosaurus fossil so special? Join us for the answers to these questions and more on our accessible dinosaur tour! We will travel back in time and explore the Museum’s “Prehistoric North Carolina” and “Terror of the South” exhibits. Featuring live captions and ASL Interpretation\, this virtual program is designed to accommodate guests who are deaf or hard of hearing\, though all are welcome to register. \nThis program is designed for students from preschool to 12th grade* (up to age 18). In this virtual program\, your students or your participants will connect with a Museum educator on Zoom and interact directly via speaking or using sign language. Whether learning from home or in the classroom (or both)\, your students or participants can join in to learn about our natural world. \nRegister below for this free virtual field trip! \n*Please use the registration links below to determine which program suits your students’ needs based on their learning level. If the scheduled sessions and associated learning levels do not meet the needs of your class please contact Jessie Rassau at accessibility@naturalsciences.org to discuss further. \nFebruary 28\n\n10–11 AM: Pre-K–Elementary\nRegister for the Feb. 28\, Pre-K–Elementary session\n1–2 PM: Middle–High School\nRegister for the Feb. 28\, Middle–High School session\n\nMarch 21\n\n10–11 AM: Pre-K–Elementary\nRegister for the Mar. 21\, Pre-K–Elementary session\n1–2 PM: Middle–High School\nRegister for the Mar. 21\, Middle–High School session\n\nApril 4\n\n10–11 AM: Pre-K–Elementary\nRegister for the Apr. 4\, Pre-K–Elementary session\n1–2 PM: Middle–High School\nRegister for the Apr. 4\, Middle–High School session\n\nMay 16\n\n10–11 AM: Pre-K–Elementary\nRegister for the May 16\, Pre-K–Elementary session\n1–2 PM: Middle–High School\nThis session has been canceled.\n\n  \n\n
