Registration for most Educator Treks is on a first-come, first-served basis. Treks fill quickly, so register early!

Credit: Upon completion of the Trek, you will receive a Certificate of Course Completion that includes the number of contact hours to turn in for CEUs. For those seeking Environmental Education Certification, you will also receive an EE Form for up to 10 hours of credit (up to 20 hours for Criteria 2).

Registration Process: Once you complete this online registration form, you will receive an email confirming that your request has been sent. Within 1 to 2 weeks, you will receive another email confirming your registration and including an invoice for the Trek deposit (typically $25/workshop). You will need to return the invoice with payment within two weeks to confirm your space; if we do not receive your deposit within 2 weeks, your name may be removed from the registration list. Any balance of the workshop fee is due at the time of the workshop and can be brought with you. If the workshop is already full at the time we receive your registration, you will be notified and placed on a waiting list.

For overnight Educator Treks...

Transportation: Most overnight Educator Treks depart from Prairie Ridge Ecostation in West Raleigh on Friday afternoon. On many Treks, it is possible for participants to meet us at our lodging on Friday evening if we are traveling in your direction. However, we encourage you to carpool with us if Raleigh is on your way! Once at our site, we will travel as a group in Museum vehicles.

Lodging: Lodging for overnight Educator Treks is typically in hotel-style accommodations, double occupancy, unless otherwise noted in the Trek description.

Payment: Your deposit is not due until you receive confirmation that you have a space in the workshop(s) you are registering for. We can only accept payment via cash or check.

The balance of the fee is due at the time of the workshop.

Cancellation Policy: Deposit is non-refundable (unless otherwise stated in program description) upon acceptance in program. Balance of fee is due at the time of the workshop. Refunds on the balance of the Trek Cost are granted only when cancellation is received in writing at least two weeks before the program begins. In order to receive a refund, you will be required to submit a W-9 form including your social security number.
